Welcome to 2023, where interior design and aesthetics have infiltrated the pet care market. I know I’m constantly looking for items for my dog Lorelei to match the style of my home! I want guests to come in and be impressed by how much our pet products don’t resemble stereotypes. This is where the Yamazaki Pet Food Bowl transformed my dog’s eating and drinking area into something attractive to the eye.
Yamakazi house Founded over a century ago, they specialize in modern housewares and home goods for small spaces. While the company had early success in Japan, Yamakazi now has locations in the United States and Europe.
Inspired by simple Japanese design, the Yamazaki Pet Food Bowl is two bowls and a stand for your little pup or feline companion. It is simple and precise with its offerings, and is available in two heights and two colours. These bowls are made of ceramic with a sturdy frame, keeping plastic and other unhealthy materials away from your favorite four-legged friend.
From tables to storage, Yamazaki has a history of sleek, modern designs (that blend!) for your home. Each piece looks simple on the surface but is cleverly designed with features you didn’t even know you wanted. The company also tried to take small spaces into account, keeping everything a reasonable size that can fit into small rooms and apartments.
Our pet bowl collection aligns perfectly with these creative philosophies (which means anything else you buy from Yamazaki will match too).
Yamazaki Pet Food Bowl Overview
There are two options for the Yamazaki pet food bowl: short and long. The vessels themselves remain the same size; It is the height of the legs of the stand that varies.
Bowls measure 5.5″ x 5.5″ and 1.5″ deep. The frame that holds the bowls is 6 x 11.36 inches.
Short cucumbers have legs of 2 inches, while long cucumbers have legs of 4 inches.
The short option has a fixed price of $38.00 while the long option has a price of just $5 at $43.00. Many similar ceramic dog bowls (with stand) range from $40 to a shocking $130, so this is a very reasonable price.
It’s also worth noting that the price of the bowl itself (if you need a replacement bowl) is $38, so the short option feels like you’re getting the stand for free!
The beautiful packaging is the first thing that caught my attention. Everything was carefully wrapped in bubble wrap with cardboard sandwiched between them, ensuring that rough handling during shipping didn’t break the containers. Unpacking was easy, and I kept the box because traveling with the bowls and stand is easier in the original box.
Warranty and returns
Although I’m happy with the set, if you find the size doesn’t fit your pet, Yamazaki has a generous return policy. There is no return fee, and you have 90 days to return the bowl. Exchanges are just as easy if you receive the wrong color or height!
Material and design are the most notable characteristics you first notice in the Yamazaki Pet Food Bowl. However, there are some additional smart features that may initially seem like a simple offering. The simple design fits most home decors. The bowls are placed close to the flow (with enough lip to catch them). easy.
The weight of the stand combined with anti-scratch, non-slip legs ensures that your pet will not move the bowls while eating. We all know that some animals are a bit rough (from excitement!) when eating, so this keeps everything in place.
The size is very comfortable for small pets, containing enough food and water for them.
There are two black or white color options available for the Yamazaki pet food bowl, both of which can match a variety of home designs. Since the bowls are made to look very modern, these colors go with that look.
Easy to clean
For starters, the durable ceramic is dishwasher safe, and has the shine and weight of beautiful ceramic. You can feel that this is a quality product from the moment you receive it.
I also wanted to mention the fact that these bowls are square rather than round, this helped my dog finish her food easily. Instead of frustratingly chasing food around a round bowl with her tongue, pushing the food into the corners helped her eat it.
Is the Yamazaki pet food bowl a good value?
For the quality of these dishes, they are very reasonably priced! At $38.00 and $43.00 respectively, they are right on the lower end of the ceramic pet bowl price point. Add to that the sturdy frame and non-slip legs, and it’s definitely worth your money.
The design elevates it beyond classic round bowls with long edges. On the other hand, the design makes the bowls look much more expensive than they actually are!
How much food and water can the bowls hold?
Each bowl can hold 1.25 cups or 300 milliliters.
How easy are the bowls to clean?
Ceramic bowls are very easy to clean! You can wash it with soap and water in the sink or use the dishwasher.
How durable is the frame?
The frame is very well designed, and no drop will break it. Likewise, the weight and scratch-resistant padding of the legs prevent your pet from being able to push off the frame when eating.
Our experience with the Yamazaki pet food bowl
At the forefront of my review, I have always used ceramic bowls for my dogs. With the health effects of plastic, I don’t use plastic products for myself! So I definitely wouldn’t make my dogs use them either. with this The bowl set is made of ceramicShe got a crush from me right away.
To start, the Yamazaki Pet Food Bowl shipped very quickly. I was surprised that the postman delivered it to my house within one day, the order was confirmed on September 29th and it arrived on September 30th. Considering we were all getting a bit impatient (better word than impatient) for new games to arrive so quickly, this was really cool!
As I mentioned above, the packaging was great. Although Lorelei certainly doesn’t care about the box, I’m a very visual person (I’ve worked in marketing for a long time), so the beautiful design is something that sticks with me. Not only was the packaging itself excellent, but the way each bowl and holder was packaged was really clever.
Shipping can be tough on fragile items, so it was good to see that everything remained intact. The packaging material doesn’t feel too padded, which is a smart and strategic design. With some bubble wrap and well laid out cardboard, unpacking was a breeze. This can also be evidence of the sturdiness of the vessels to survive shipping.
After unwrapping and placing the bowls on the stand, I liked the sleek design. The bowls are very flat, so there isn’t much of an overhanging lip. This is definitely just a visual preference, but it’s a nice touch! I always place my bowls on a rubber mat because my dog can be a messy eater, and this, combined with the non-slip legs, ensures the bowls and stand don’t go anywhere. I’ve had flimsy situations in the past, and I don’t want my dog to be afraid of dropping the bowl while eating.
Once everything was set, it was time for the final critique: my puppy Lorelei!
For a bit of backstory, Lorelei is a rescue pup; She was found hungry on a downtown street. Because of the condition she came to me with, her relationship with food has always been troubled. It first started with Food aggression Being ravenous (for understandable reasons), she developed anorexia due to digestive problems due to the terrible condition she was in the first year of her life.
Once upon a time she was a healthy weight and Digestive problems resolvedShe remained unenthusiastic about food. Sometimes, I swear she’ll find out any Sorry for not eating, whether she’s randomly decided that dog bowls are evil or food just doesn’t hold her attention anymore.
In the end, and much to my surprise, the Yamazaki Pet Food Bowl was an instant hit! I feel like it’s more about the simple look, maybe the flat design of the dishes in the stand, or even what height is comfortable for them. She happily ate her food with little protest, which is the biggest compliment one can receive from this dog.
After that, washing the dishes was no problem at all. After a quick rinse in the sink and straight into the dishwasher, the food container came out clean and with no damage at all. I definitely look exclusively for dishwasher safe products because I don’t have a lot of time in the day to wash hands, so that’s an important selling point for me.
Upgrading the design of your pet products has never been easier Yamazaki pet food bowl It’s a great way to start. I plan to order a second set in white for my dog’s room (yes, my pup has his own “room!”) and replace the bowls that are currently in there!
