The group, Alliance on Surviving Covid-19 and Past (ASCAB), famous in a press release on Friday that if the ministers have been to reappointed in any respect, they needed to, as required by Part 147 of the Structure, face the Senate for recent screening and affirmation. 

Malami, Ngige and 7 different ministers had reportedly resigned from the Buhari cupboard as directed by the President, going by their 2023 political ambitions.

“In a farewell assembly held with the previous Ministers on Friday, Could 13, 2022, President Buhari thanked them for serving the nation sacrificially, ‘with dignity and honour’. Whereas wishing them success within the upcoming elections and in future endeavours the President counseled them for his or her choice and braveness to contest for elective places of work and their compliance along with his directive.
“Having resigned from the Buhari administration Mr. Abubakar Malami SAN and Dr. Chris Ngige have been reported to have withdrawn their letters of resignation after the farewell assembly. Such withdrawal is illegitimate as it’s constitutes a gross contravention of part 306 (2) of the Structure which stipulates that “The resignation of any individual from any workplace established by this Structure shall take impact when the writing signifying the resignation is acquired by the authority or individual to whom it’s addressed or by any individual authorised by that authority or individual to obtain it.
“Because the resignation of the previous Ministers has taken impact they can not return to the cupboard both on their very own volition or on the directive of the President. The resignation of the Ministers is just not a cupboard reshuffle. It’s akin to the elimination of the previous Ministers by the President.
